The tour was cut virtually in half this week (first time since June), looks like there was just one repeat, but the odds were not much better for adding Best Buys to the list, inc fact there really were NONE. There were some nice new additions to the listings on the market, but not necessarily ‘Best Buys’. For starters, Fortress Construction built a spec home at 125 Mayhew Circle with over 4400 sqft of living space, wonderful custom features, French Doors that open to a park like backyard setting right on the creek. The home has been staged by Bently Interiors, but it does not come furnished. 383 Second Creek is a great corporate retreat with several master suites, great finishes and it comes furnished. The view is ‘almost really good’ as one agent said leaving the house. 599 Crest Lane #19 was completely rebuilt due to fire and is a great freestanding condo in this complex. Where most of these are old and decrepit, this unit had nice hard wood floors, new laminate counters and a warm feeling. OK, talk about old and decrepit (but…it is what it is and the house is priced to sell), have we got the tear down for you. 803 McCourry is ready for the bulldozer and or a complete overhaul. The lot is very nice (the street is quiet busy) landscaping is already in place in the front, but the insides need some major help. Lastly, if you are looking for a storage garage that you can call home (it comes with a GREAT lakeview and 645 sqft of living space…make your way over to Crystal Bay for 500 Pahute. Turns out the detached garage was originally built for the house next door, then the TRPA granted the owners the right to attach a REAL garage, so they built a small studio above the detached garage and are now selling that separate from the house. You can even pick the carpet and final finishes if you act fast.
Oh, and we added 929 Northwood #48 to our Best Buy List. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo with garage is bank owned, has a great price tag, a wonderful setting and lots of potential. A must see if you are shopping for anything in this price range and or category.
